Be a Voice

To end human trafficking, we need to make it a legislative priority.

You can help. Here are a few ways to get your representatives to stand up and take notice of human trafficking.

  •  Only 12 states in the US have fully implemented "safe harbor" laws that allow minor sex trafficking victims to be treated as victims, not criminals. Find out where your state stands on safe harbor and other legislation related to human trafficking and make your voice heard on by signing the Safe Harbor petition or by contacting your local representatives.

  • H.R. 3344, the Fraudulent Overseas Recruitment and Trafficking Elimination Act of 2013, prevents labor trafficking in the US by requiring greater transparancy in the recruitment of foreign workers. Help pass this act by emailing your members of congress.

  • Want to create change in your own community? Create your own petition. Collect signatures and send them to your local representative.
